This fragrance actually has an interesting story behind it. Sailors in the 16th century would often spend many months on board their sailing ship with no way to properly bathe. One ingenious sailor (or particularly putrid individual) tried rubbing the fragrant leaves of the East Indian bay tree over his body, using the oils from the plant material to mask his body odor. It must have worked because later, someone got the idea to infuse the leaves in rum (the drink of choice for sailors) and that is how bay rum came to be.

A Perfect Gentleman
What constitutes a perfect gentleman? Perhaps the Urban Dictionary says it best - "A man of calm demeanor, strong preserve, intellectual thinking, polite yet meaningful when he speaks and a good upbringing. A fighter for the cause of right with words, not guns" and I would add "a man who smells good" which you surely will be if you use this soap!
